Preparing for a disaster goes far beyond having an emergency kit. There are many things to consider when preparing for a disaster and much of it can be done as a family.

In this lessons, students will learn:

• Why it is important to have an emergency plan
• Why it is important to pack a Ready to Go kit
• What to include in your plan and your kit
• How to create an emergency plan (as a family)
